Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on October 1, 1995. She is best known as an actor, having appeared in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) and Chrissie Mair's Content House.

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into the family of actors as well as filmmakers. Both are careers she's pursued. The actress made her debut when she was only nine in the film of Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni (1985). In 1988, she was the principal part in Cristina Comencini's debut movie Zoo (1988) and as in addition to being a part of Michele's casting for The Church (1989). In 1989, she portrayed Nanni Moretti's (also directed by Michele Soavi) daughter, also directed by Michele Soavi in Red Wood Pigeon. Close Friends, written and directed by Michele Placido in 1992, was the film that launched Asia's career off. From playing young girls, she shifted to more complicated and more mature roles. The film was given a positive response at the Cannes International Film Festival. The actress has produced three films with her dad, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome, and Phantom of opera. The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she's made together with her father, the others being Trauma and The Stendhal SyndromeAsia's intense, aggressive style of acting was well-used in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato A Nozze. In 1993, she played a part in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista in which she played Arianna who was a disabled girl. It was a complex, challenging role that won it an award from David di Donatello for best actress . She also had a featured part in the international cast of Queen Margot which was directed by Patrice Chereau. In 1995, Asia collaborated with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion, for which she won a David di Donatello. Asia began directing for a career in 1994. The first film she directed was Prospettive. A documentary she made about her dad was followed by Abel/Asia (1998), a film that won a prize in the Rome Film Festival in 1998. They were both directed from 1996 to 1998. Asia's first feature length film debut is Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. In it, she was the lead actor and also wrote the screenplay. In May 2000, the movie was made available both in Italy and across the world. The film was awarded an prize during the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. In 2001, after directing numerous music videos the actress gave birth to the first of her daughters, Anna Lou. In 2002, she was in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action thriller together with Vin Diesel. Asia is also the author of a number of short stories which have appeared in prestigious magazines.
